The Story

The Estelle collection was conceived as a study in restraint — timepieces that speak through material rather than ornamentation. For this edition, the maison turned to one of history’s most revered gemstones: Lapis Lazuli.

The name Estelle draws from the French word étoile — a quiet reference to the stars. With its deep celestial blue and naturally occurring golden pyrite inclusions, Lapis Lazuli has long evoked the appearance of a night sky, admired for centuries by artists, craftsmen, and collectors alike.

The Stone

Lapis Lazuli is a metamorphic rock formed over millions of years through the transformation of limestone under intense heat and pressure. Composed primarily of the mineral lazurite, it is distinguished by its deep ultramarine blue colour, often accompanied by naturally occurring golden pyrite inclusions and subtle veins of white calcite. Together, these features give every piece its unmistakable character.

Historically sourced from the mountains of Afghanistan — home of some of the world’s oldest known lapis deposits — this remarkable stone has been treasured for thousands of years in art, architecture, and decorative craftsmanship. Its rich colour and ability to take a refined polish make it exceptionally well suited to the creation of distinctive watch dials.

Because every piece of Lapis Lazuli is formed by nature, no two dials are ever identical. The distribution of pyrite, the depth of the blue, and the natural veining vary from one watch to the next. What you receive is not a manufactured pattern. It is a fragment of geological history, shaped over millions of years.

Design Philosophy

The Estelle Lapis Lazuli is built on a 43 mm case — a proportion chosen to allow the stone dial its full presence without excess. The case profile is clean and architectural: sculpted lugs with a high-polish finish, a polished bezel, and a crown engraved with the Champs Élysées emblem.

The dial is the watch. Hour markers are applied baton indices in a warm silver tone that complements the stone’s natural palette without competing with it. A discreet date aperture at 3 o’clock is the only functional interruption to the stone’s surface. The hands echo the indices — precise, unhurried, and in proportion.

This is a watch designed to be looked at slowly.

Swiss Manufacture

The Estelle Lapis Lazuli carries the Swiss Made designation — a standard that requires the movement to be Swiss, the casing to be performed in Switzerland, and the final inspection to be conducted by the manufacturer.

At the heart of the watch is the ETA 956.032 quartz movement — a calibre known for its reliability, slim profile, and long service intervals. The sapphire crystal above the dial is scratch-resistant and optically clear, ensuring the stone is always seen at its best. Water resistance is rated to 5 ATM, suitable for everyday wear.

Every watch is assembled, regulated, and inspected individually before leaving the atelier.

Limited Edition

The Estelle Lapis Lazuli is produced in a strictly limited edition of 20 pieces worldwide. Each watch is individually numbered. Once the edition is closed, it will not be repeated.

No two pieces are identical. The stone dial ensures that each of the 20 watches is, in the most literal sense, one of a kind.
