The Estelle Black Sandstone is built around a dial cut from deep black sandstone, treasured for its dark, space-like depth and shimmering copper inclusions that glitter like stars. Set within a 43 mm stainless steel case and driven by Swiss precision, it is a watch that celebrates the enduring beauty of one of horology's most captivating dial materials.
SpecificationsThe Estelle collection was conceived as a study in restraint — timepieces that speak through material rather than ornamentation. For this edition, the maison turned to one of horology's most poetic dial materials: Black Sandstone.
The name Estelle draws from the French word étoile — a quiet reference to the stars. With its deep midnight backdrop and naturally reflective copper flecks, Black Sandstone captures the essence of a clear nocturnal sky over Paris, admired for generations by artisans, stargazers, and collectors alike.

Black Sandstone, also known in fine horology as black goldstone or aventurine glass, is a remarkable material born from specialised glassmaking techniques pioneered in 17th-century Italy. Formed by melting silica with copper oxides under strictly controlled reducing conditions, microscopic copper crystals crystallise within the deep black glass matrix as it cools.
This intricate process gives the material its signature optical effect: a vast, obsidian-black field filled with thousands of tiny, light-catching star-like specks. Its intense contrast and ability to take a mirror polish make it exceptionally well suited to the creation of distinctive, poetic watch dials.
Because every dial disc is cut from a different section of the cooled matrix, no two dials are ever identical. The density and distribution of the metallic inclusions vary from one watch to the next. What you receive is not a printed pattern. It is an extraordinary play of light and hand craftsmanship, capturing a midnight cosmos on your wrist.

The Estelle Black Sandstone is built on a 43 mm case — a proportion chosen to allow the shimmering dial its full presence without excess. The case profile is clean and architectural: sculpted lugs with a high-polish finish, a polished bezel, and a crown engraved with the Champs Élysées emblem.
The dial is the watch. Hour markers are applied baton indices in a crisp silver tone that echoes the starlight effect without competing with it. A discreet date aperture at 3 o'clock is the only functional interruption to the dial's deep surface. The hands echo the indices — precise, unhurried, and in proportion.
This is a watch designed to be looked at slowly.

The Estelle Black Sandstone carries the Swiss Made designation — a standard that requires the movement to be Swiss, the casing to be performed in Switzerland, and the final inspection to be conducted by the manufacturer.
At the heart of the watch is the ETA 956.032 quartz movement — a calibre known for its reliability, slim profile, and long service intervals. The sapphire crystal above the dial is scratch-resistant and optically clear, ensuring the celestial dial is always seen at its best. Water resistance is rated to 5 ATM, suitable for everyday wear.
Every watch is assembled, regulated, and inspected individually before leaving the atelier.
The Estelle Black Sandstone is produced in a strictly limited edition of 20 pieces worldwide. Each watch is individually numbered. Once the edition is closed, it will not be repeated.
No two pieces are identical. The unique distribution of light within each dial ensures that each of the 20 watches is, in the most literal sense, one of a kind.
